Why neoprene for stalking?
Stalking means moving slowly, often through cover. Hard cases and fabric bags with zips make exactly the noises that alert game. Neoprene is soft, dampens contact and sits quietly against your body.
At the same time, the 4 mm material protects the rifle from moisture, dirt and scratches on the way – for example when crossing wet grass or undergrowth.
How to use the case when stalking
- Set the length once: the straps at the barrel end are fixed with press studs.
- Carry the case over your shoulder on the strap – the rifle stays protected and silent.
- When game appears: open the case and draw the rifle. No zip, no fumbling.
- Fold the empty case and put it in your backpack or use it as a seat pad.
Honestly: where the limits are
The case is water-repellent but deliberately open, so it is not waterproof. In persistent rain, moisture can enter at the opening. Only a hard case protects against heavy impacts – for example in an aircraft hold. For stalking and moving through your hunting ground, neoprene is the lighter and quieter choice.
